Yellow Belt Promotion

 

 

My name is Lauren. I am four years old.  My form is Tiger 1. And I am promoting for my yellow belt with your permission, Mam.

Last night Lauren went for her first belt test in Taekwondo.  She presented herself to her instructor, did her form, answered a bunch of questions and then got to break a board. 

A real board!  She had several goes at it and then her instructor helped her finish it off.  These were some tough boards.  Many of the other Little Ninjas had trouble breaking them.

Lauren was very proud of herself for making it to her yellow belt and not giving up on breaking the board.  She kept trying even when she got a little boo boo on her wrist. 

Her instructor signed her board.

It was a fun night.  I have enjoyed having Lauren in Karate and watching all the rest of the kids in her class.  In three short months they have all come so far.  Lauren is going to continue working towards other belts.  She is really looking forward to the purple one!
