St. Louis - Instagram Style

Last weekend Brian and I went to St Louis for a little anniversary getaway.

We left Friday and Brian drove most of the way and even let me take a nap.  I thought these clouds were pretty cool looking.

We took our time getting to Saint Louis, stopping probably more than we should have but we didn't want to rush and just take things easy.  I snapped this picture as we were heading into the parking garage at the hotel.

Saturday we got up and headed to breakfast and then Sonya and I had to go buy shoes because we were going to the Schlafly Brewery tour next and in order to take the tour you can't wear open toes shoes, all we had were flip flops and sandals. We are lucky enough to be close to Saint Louis that we get this beer delivered to our local groceries.  Last year I fell IN LOVE with their pumkpin ale, and that is saying something because I normally don't drink beer.  But as I have always known it is an aquired taste that I seem to be getting more and more of.

Later that afternoon we went out for a late lunch at Fitz's.  They were even bottling while we were eating lunch.  We sat upstairs overlooking the restaurant and it was a pretty cool view.

It rained Saturday afternoon/night, in fact we thought it would be a good idea to walk around after lunch, see the sights and stores and we were looking for a cupcake place we thought was close.  We were walking, realized that the cupcake place was a LOT farther than we thought and that it was about to rain and turned around to head back to the car.  It was a good thing we turned around when we did because we didn't even make it to the car before it started pouring!  We all got soaked.

Sunday on our way home it rained again.  These were the clouds we saw for at least an hour before we saw any rain.

And then the rain came!  Thank goodness.

It rained yesterday and today too, really good rain not just sprinkles or off and on but all day yesterday, overnight and then it hasn't stopped yet. I hope this is the end of the draught and dryness we have been experiencing all summer.

I have lots more pictures to share from our trip so stay tuned!

Despite the rain it sounds like a fun time. I love clouds and take pictures all the time. That pumpkin ale sounds pretty good. I need to remember to do more instagram photos when I take pictures from my phone! Have a nice weekend.

We really needed a picture of us when we were wet. That was just crazy!

My name is Sonya and I am married to a wonderful man who is truly my best friend. I am the proud mommy of Lauren and our newest addition Colton! I love to cook, bake, read, scrapbook and I am a photography enthusiast. I also love to be around my large extended family. I have 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Brian, is my wonderful loving husband. My best friend and the father of my children. He loves being a daddy, boxing, Muay Thai and working out.

Lauren is our 4 year old daughter. She loves her Daddy, running and being outside. She also is a big fan of "neighs" (horses). She amazes me everyday at all the new words that she can say and the new things she is learning. It blows my mind the things that she comes up with. She is such a great kid!

Colton, AKA, Little Man, is our newest addition to the family. He has brought us so much joy. Right now he loves to eat, sleep and is learning to walk. Colton was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 weeks old and has been wearing a Pavlik Harness since 7 weeks. He wore the harness full time for 8 weeks and then part time for 6 weeks for a total of 14 weeks. Having hip dysplasia hasn't slowed him down one bit. He can crawl and has recently started walking
