I am not sure how I feel about the writing style is this book. It kept jumping around from the narrator to the character speaking and sometimes was a bit confusing. I did however LOVE the British humor.
AND the story. Oh the story! I could so relate to Jemima. Jemima is a journalist, living I'm London, stuck in a job she doesn't particularly like and she is overweight. She uses food as a comfort and her size as a shield. When she meets Brad, a gorgeous Californian, on the internet she reinvents herself as JJ, a skinny TV personality. When Brad invites her to LA she suddenly has to transform herself into the JJ he thinks she is.
Every book has some twist and this one is no exception. You won't believe what happens!
I liked this book alot. As I continue on my weight loss journey it was quite comical to read about Jemima's struggle with food as they hit close to home. Been there done that! It seriously was like the author was reading my mind! It also gave me alot to think about which I typically love in a book.
