Sunday Stuff

This week was full!  I took an extra day off work which gave me a much needed three day weekend.  I was super excited that Sonya and her husband Kevin came into town for the weekend.  More on our fun weekend coming up this week.

**For the past couple of weeks Colton has been coughing.  Coughing so much that he almost gags himself.  We were on our way to day care last week and he started doing it in the car, I thought he was choking!  I was getting ready to pull over and asked him if he was OK, he said  yep and it stopped.  Since then he has done it several times.  I thought he was doing it to be funny or get a rise out of me...turns out he has had bronchitis coming on.  Monday daycare called and said he had a fairly high fever so Brian picked him up and met me at the doctor's office later that evening.  {I am so thankful the pediatrician has late hours!}  I was thinking an ear infection or something like that and didn't think too much about the coughing episodes until the nurse asked.  I hate when my babies are sick!  I hate it even more when I have to work and can't be the one to stay home with them.  Brian and I try to trade off and on so that neither one of us has to miss an enormous amount of work.

**As I have mentioned before Colton loves tractors and all that.  This morning I was in the kitchen cleaning out the refrigerator and Colton comes up to me and says "lawn mower...got it" I said "where did you get a lawn mower?" he says "JESUS!"  I cracked up laughing.

**I tried a yoga/Pilate's workout video which was pretty interesting.  I know one thing...I am not coordinated.  I could have told you that after doing Just Dance or Zumba but it is definitely official!  I also let Brian talk me into boxing with him, he's been trying to get me to workout with him for months and I have been afraid to...for many reasons.  I actually enjoyed myself and will probably do more of that with him.

**I ate horribly and am looking forward to getting back on track tomorrow.  It was nice to be able to kind of let loose and not be so strict.  I knew we were going to be out and about and had planned on eating not so healthy so I prepared my mind in advance!

**Thursday I woke up with my right eye swollen.  By the time I got to work it was slowly growing larger and my head was hurting pretty bad.  I ended up going home and sleeping most of the afternoon to try.  I have no idea what is the deal with that.  I seriously hoped my sinus surgery would have fixed that issue.  While it has gotten TONS better it has done it three times since my surgery.

**On the way home from work today Colton fell asleep.  Apparently he was dreaming about mowing because all of a sudden he yelled out "MOW" and scared all of us!  It was pretty funny, Lauren got a big kick out of it.

**This Friday is Lauren's spring program at daycare and she is so excited.  She has been practicing her songs all week!  She is doing awesome with them, I can't wait to see her perform with the rest of the kids.

I hope Colton is feeling better soon!

I have always loved yoga. Once you do a video a few times and get the hang of it, it is better. It always leaves me feeling strong, relaxed and focuses. My sister and I just recently got Audrey on video doing a couple poses and it is so cute! I think I'm going to try to figure out how to post it on my blog.

Glad you got to meet with Sonya and her husband.
Hope Colton is feeling better now. Poor baby :(
When you mentioned you eye swollen I had remembered about your surgery. It shouldn't be happening anymore, right? Wow, he even dreams about it, that's so cute. Hope Lauren does great in her program.

My name is Sonya and I am married to a wonderful man who is truly my best friend. I am the proud mommy of Lauren and our newest addition Colton! I love to cook, bake, read, scrapbook and I am a photography enthusiast. I also love to be around my large extended family. I have 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Brian, is my wonderful loving husband. My best friend and the father of my children. He loves being a daddy, boxing, Muay Thai and working out.

Lauren is our 4 year old daughter. She loves her Daddy, running and being outside. She also is a big fan of "neighs" (horses). She amazes me everyday at all the new words that she can say and the new things she is learning. It blows my mind the things that she comes up with. She is such a great kid!

Colton, AKA, Little Man, is our newest addition to the family. He has brought us so much joy. Right now he loves to eat, sleep and is learning to walk. Colton was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 weeks old and has been wearing a Pavlik Harness since 7 weeks. He wore the harness full time for 8 weeks and then part time for 6 weeks for a total of 14 weeks. Having hip dysplasia hasn't slowed him down one bit. He can crawl and has recently started walking
