Weekend in Review

Not much to report here for our weekend. It was pretty much non eventful and that is ok with me. I finally finished editing pictures that seemed like they took me a year to do. Actually it was just about 3 months but still, how awful is that. Remember the wedding that I shot in December?? Well I finally waded my way through all 2,000 plus pictures that I took and only wound up with about 500 for the bride and groom. I may post a few of them later on this week. Weddings are a lot of work! Not only the time that I spent at the wedding but the countless hours that I spent editing the pictures. Since I work full time and have a family to come home to I didn’t get much time to work on them. Thankfully the bride was very patient and let me take my time.

I went to a consignment sale on Saturday and picked up a few things for the baby. I am excited to shop for boy stuff. Brian are mulling over what we want to do with his room. I thought that I wanted to paint it green but now I am thinking blue green. I don’t know for sure really! I also can’t decide if I want to go with a theme from Babies R Us or if I just want to compile a bunch of stuff and make it our own. Any suggestions??

Lauren has been sick. All last week she had a cough and started getting a snotty nose. Usually anytime she gets a cold it turns into bronchitis. Thursday night she started running a fever. Brian stayed home with her on Friday and took her to the doctor to make sure it hadn’t gotten into her lungs yet and luckily it hadn’t. But they gave her some amoxicillin to make sure that we get it knocked out before she gets worse. Sunday morning Lauren comes running into the living room with the medicine dropper thing and says that Elmo is sick and needs to take his medicine. I thought she was just playing, how cute she is taking care of Elmo. Well next thing I know she is sitting on the kitchen floor covered in PINK liquid. She had gotten into the refrigerator and somehow gotten the bottle of antibiotic open and poured it all over herself, the floor and poor Elmo, who now has PINK EYE! :) Luckily the doctor’s office was very understanding and called in another prescription for her. I will make sure that it is on the top shelf and pushed all the way to the back from now on!

My colds always seem to turn into bronchitis. I hope the little one's feeling better. And congrats on baby number two!

I'm here from SITS. Welcome!

I didn't even know you could buy a nursery theme! To be honest, I'm sure the little one won't mind what you do, so whatever you feel happiest with... are you the sort of person who'd enjoy taking the time to pull something of your own together, or would it feel like a chore?

Visiting from SITS to welcome you on board :)

I love how Elmo has pink eye! Do they not put child-proof caps on the drugs anymore?

As for a boys room...I'd pick either a color or if you find even one item that you really like you could easily build something around it. I'd go with something that could make it for longer than the baby years; something they could still use for awhile. I know if we ever had a boy it would be a sports room. Just because we have so much sports stuff to put in there!

They get smart pretty early on! I'm so glad she didn't take it herself. When you look back it's kind of funny and cute. It will be fun shopping for your son and fixing up the nursery.

I sure hope Lauren gets to feeling better soon. It's amazing how quickly they can be feeling so rough. I hope it doesn't turn into bronchitis this time. Oh, and I hope Elmo recovers from the medicine and pink eye! :)

Welcome to SITS. I have a few "sticky" fingers kids too!!

And I have been guilty of not putting the caps back on quite tight enough on one or two occasions.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Even after five, I still feel that little green envy when I hear that someone is pregnant!! Crazy, I know.

Babies are just miraculous :)

Welcome to SITS! I shot a wedding once, I know what you mean. It was soo hard to handle, but being 16 at the time could be a big part of it as well. :P Little boy rooms are always fun, I wish you the best of luck!

Hi, SITS. You were very busy.

In my opinion for a theme for a baby boy room like some sports, animals, etc.

Hope your girl recover soon.

Have a nice week.

Hope your daughter is feeling better soon!

Congrats on the baby boy you have coming- I have three boys. :) Might I suggest a lovely periwinkle blue for the nursery? So calming and yet still boyish.

Stopping in to welcome you to SITS!

My name is Sonya and I am married to a wonderful man who is truly my best friend. I am the proud mommy of Lauren and our newest addition Colton! I love to cook, bake, read, scrapbook and I am a photography enthusiast. I also love to be around my large extended family. I have 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Brian, is my wonderful loving husband. My best friend and the father of my children. He loves being a daddy, boxing, Muay Thai and working out.

Lauren is our 4 year old daughter. She loves her Daddy, running and being outside. She also is a big fan of "neighs" (horses). She amazes me everyday at all the new words that she can say and the new things she is learning. It blows my mind the things that she comes up with. She is such a great kid!

Colton, AKA, Little Man, is our newest addition to the family. He has brought us so much joy. Right now he loves to eat, sleep and is learning to walk. Colton was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 weeks old and has been wearing a Pavlik Harness since 7 weeks. He wore the harness full time for 8 weeks and then part time for 6 weeks for a total of 14 weeks. Having hip dysplasia hasn't slowed him down one bit. He can crawl and has recently started walking
