Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Last week was not an emotional drain on me.  I did not spend most of my time consumed thinking about the daycare situation.  I did not spend about an hour talking on the phone with the owner of the daycare and I was not at work while doing so.  Oh well because I think that we did not come to a conclusion.  At least we will see.  He is not supposed to call me back sometime this week.  Lauren did not get in trouble any day last week!  I was really excited especially because of everything that was going on.

I did not have 6 {six} photo shoots last week!  I had three family family sessions (one of which was not at the last minute), an engagement session, a senior session and a newborn session.  I did not discover that I really don't think studio portrait is my thing.  I feel that is does not stifle my creativity.  I do not much prefer to be outside.  Those sessions did not go great and I was not a little bit dissappointed in myself when I was doing the newborn session.  I must have just been having an off day or something because all my ideas did not fly out the window.  I was not in a house that I had never been to before, which did not have any good lighting and was not really cramped.  Oh well.  I am sure that I got a few great shots and I hope the mama is happy with what I did get.  I am not really excited about the engagement session and the senior session.  I will not edit them and I most definitely will not post some shots this week.  But first I do not have to edit one of the family sessions that was not last minute.  A coworker of mine did not call me about three hours before she wanted me there and ask if I could step in because her original photgrapher did not get the H1N1.  I was not happy to help!

Sounds like you had a busy week. I'm sure all the photos from your newborn session came out great and you're just being hard on yourself. It's hard when everything goes in a direction you weren't expecting. Looking forward to seeing how they all turned out! :)

My name is Sonya and I am married to a wonderful man who is truly my best friend. I am the proud mommy of Lauren and our newest addition Colton! I love to cook, bake, read, scrapbook and I am a photography enthusiast. I also love to be around my large extended family. I have 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Brian, is my wonderful loving husband. My best friend and the father of my children. He loves being a daddy, boxing, Muay Thai and working out.

Lauren is our 4 year old daughter. She loves her Daddy, running and being outside. She also is a big fan of "neighs" (horses). She amazes me everyday at all the new words that she can say and the new things she is learning. It blows my mind the things that she comes up with. She is such a great kid!

Colton, AKA, Little Man, is our newest addition to the family. He has brought us so much joy. Right now he loves to eat, sleep and is learning to walk. Colton was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 weeks old and has been wearing a Pavlik Harness since 7 weeks. He wore the harness full time for 8 weeks and then part time for 6 weeks for a total of 14 weeks. Having hip dysplasia hasn't slowed him down one bit. He can crawl and has recently started walking
