Getting Ready for a Luau

Well the shower was yesterday and it went GREAT! More on the actual shower tomorrow but here are some pictures of us decorating for the shower.

The shower was at my dad's in his huge garage that he keeps his RV in.

My family is great. They all came out to help us decorate.

This is my nephew Garrett. He thought he would try a new look to get ready for the party!

This is Mollie helping to pu tthe grass skirts on the tables. Yes, {GASP} I let the bride help decorate for her own shower!!! She was very excited and wanted to help and after pleading with me I finally agreed.

Brian and my mom. Brian is concentrating very hard on that masking tape!!

This is Noelle, she was helping me host the shower. She and her husband Nathan live across the street from Mollie and Aaron. Nathan used to be Aaron's roommate.

Look at Lauren with her lei on. Doesn't she look so cute. She too to these like crazy. She would have had them all around her neck if I would have let her.

A shot of the tables. We were almost finished by this time.

My dad, hanging lanterns for us.

And Mollie doing a little table dance for us. Yes the bride provided the entertainment for the evening!!!

My dad is a big fan of antiques. This is an old fridge and the thing on top is an air compressor type thing {I think} He also has old gas pumps. You can see those in the second picture behind the tables.

Lauren and her Daddy. She is such a Daddy's girl! Look how she has him wrapped around her finger. He will do anything {including dressing in a grass skirt} for her.

The bride and groom!!

Oh and one last picture that I had to share!!!
{I love you Aaron}

Yes I put the flamingos on there. They were on a plastic sheet that came in a decorating kit that we bought!

My name is Sonya and I am married to a wonderful man who is truly my best friend. I am the proud mommy of Lauren and our newest addition Colton! I love to cook, bake, read, scrapbook and I am a photography enthusiast. I also love to be around my large extended family. I have 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Brian, is my wonderful loving husband. My best friend and the father of my children. He loves being a daddy, boxing, Muay Thai and working out.

Lauren is our 4 year old daughter. She loves her Daddy, running and being outside. She also is a big fan of "neighs" (horses). She amazes me everyday at all the new words that she can say and the new things she is learning. It blows my mind the things that she comes up with. She is such a great kid!

Colton, AKA, Little Man, is our newest addition to the family. He has brought us so much joy. Right now he loves to eat, sleep and is learning to walk. Colton was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 6 weeks old and has been wearing a Pavlik Harness since 7 weeks. He wore the harness full time for 8 weeks and then part time for 6 weeks for a total of 14 weeks. Having hip dysplasia hasn't slowed him down one bit. He can crawl and has recently started walking
